GSL Education is looking for passionate Secondary Teaching Assistants to join our team! About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant with GSL Education, you'll play a key role in supporting teachers and helping students succeed. This role offers the chance to provide personalised support to students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and other diverse needs. Your day will be varied as you assist with one-on-one and group support, creating a positive, inclusive environment where each student can thrive. You'll work closely with a committed team that prioritises every student's unique learning journey.

About the School:
GSL Education partners with secondary schools, SEN, AP, and PRU across Hull, and we currently have multiple openings in a supportive partner school in Hull. This school believe that if you look after the whole child, then everything else will fall into place. Developing the pupils to have skills alongside knowledge is the key to success. All pupils getting the chance to achieve, be resilient, tolerate others and make great choices for life - in and outside school.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role will:

Have recent experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally within a school or SEN-focused setting.
Understand and be passionate about supporting students with diverse needs, helping them overcome challenges and reach their potential.
Bring a proactive, empathetic approach to supporting students with SEN, working closely with the school's SEN team.
Share our commitment to creating an inclusive, positive learning environment for all students.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Right to Work in the UK.
A minimum of six months' experience in an educational or child-centered setting (volunteering and placements included).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with students, staff, and parents.
An Enhanced DBS registered to the update service, or willingness to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
Please note that safeguarding and child protection are paramount for this role, and successful candidates will undergo all required background checks, including an enhanced DBS.
