Digital Marketing Executive

We are looking to recruit a Digital Marketing Executive for our client in Stevenage. This is a small but growing internal team within a large and successful company. You will be based in the head office in Stevenage.

You will join a team of forward thinkers; creative and dynamic - the marketing team are passionate about bringing innovative ideas to completion and finding new ways to communicate with their audiences. Working in the B2B space the Marketing focus is heavy on providing the best experience for customers across all their activity.

Our client is a distributor of products and logistical services to manufacturers of electronic equipment. They support many industries including automotive, medical and security, but the bulk of their activity is within the defence and harsh environment sectors. This a fantastic opportunity to be part of their fast-growing marketing team.

The ideal person will have some knowledge of electrical/ mechanical engineering and/or electronics distribution, but we will consider someone who has an insatiable appetite for knowledge too! You will be a highly skilled marketer who is confident in using different mediums and finding solutions when they do not have all the answers. This role requires someone who is confident with organising E-mail marketing and digital campaigns, has a knowledge and understanding of web and SEO, as well as a general marketing process understanding, most importantly the ideal candidate has great teamwork abilities but can also work independently and managed their time and deadlines well.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee creation of marketing collateral

Ownership over E-mail Marketing

Working with advertising partners on print and publication adverts

Supporting our website development (not code based)

Idea generation for campaigns and content

Essential

E-mail marketing experience (Mailchimp or similar)

Web/SEO optimisation experience

3-5 years' experience content marketing

Proven track record in a fast-paced environment in-house or within an agency or freelance

Great writing skills in English

Great team working skills

Knowledge and experience of running digital marketing campaigns from concept to completion and beyond.

Knowledge Microsoft Suite - Powerpoint, Word, Excel

Understanding of marketing analytics

Desirable

Wordpress, Google Analytics, Mailchimp or other email marketing software, marketing automation

Experience with E-commerce

B2B Marketing experience

Experience working with advertising partners

Knowledge of Canva

Knowledge of Adobe Suite - Photoshop, InDesign

Job Requirements

Attention to detail and a good creative mindset

Excel, Word, PowerPoint proficient

Good at problem solving

Ability to communicate well verbally and digitally

Excellent written & organisation skills

Ability to work well independently but also work well as a team

Ambitious and self-driven

Preferable skills:

Degree or relevant qualification within Marketing/PR/creative or experience in marketing environment

Experience within a B2B marketing environment

Experience working on website development

Experience within Advertising campaigns

Experience within Events and Exhibitions

Basic knowledge of the Adobe creative suite or Canva

If you can speak Polish, German or Dutch that would be ideal but not essential
