We are seeking a 3rd line Core Applications Engineer to join our team and contribute to our purpose of making the world more sustainable by building trust in society through innovation. This role is crucial in maintaining complex secure solutions and involves incident management on secure military systems, primarily dealing with incidents escalated from 2nd line support.
Day to Day of the Role: - Provide 3rd line support for incident management on live systems, ensuring timely resolution of escalated issues.
- Deliver infrastructure development and conduct testing of upgrades, patches, and new software solutions.
- Own problems and incidents, proactively seeking solutions and driving issues to closure.
- Collaborate with remote-based 2nd line resources to manage and resolve incidents.
- Engage in exciting project work, potentially as a subject matter expert in a specific technology area relevant to our operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Experience with SharePoint server management, permissions, and application integration.
- Proficiency in VMWare Horizon View VDI and VSphere virtualization.
- Strong understanding of Group Policy management.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills and experience with other scripting languages.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SKYPE server.
- Familiarity with file share and NTFS permissions.
- Experience with NGINX.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Server 2012/2016 Hyper-V.
- Experience with Exchange 2013/2016.
