Our client is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Residential Child Support Workers. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing environment for children and young people in care. Working closely with their Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, you will ensure the well-being, safety, and development of each child throughout their stay..

Summary: As a member of our client's dedicated team, you will be responsible for providing children with the necessary activities, support, care, and guidance both within their homes and in the broader community. You will maintain high standards of care, cleanliness, and organisation while fostering positive relationships and implementing therapeutic approaches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and standards requirements.

* Safeguard and promote the welfare and health of children in care.

* Provide activities, support, and structure for children, including cleaning and meal preparation.

* Establish purposeful and constructive relationships, serving as a positive role model.

* Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure efficient home operations.

* Participate in shift rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage and support.

* Undertake training and implement learning within the home environment.

* Act as a key worker for individual children, following organisational policies.

* Attend and contribute to review and planning meetings as necessary.

* Design, implement, and review activity and care plans for each child.

* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying service shortfalls and planning development strategies.

* Communicate concerns affecting any child promptly and appropriately.

Person Specification:

Education & Qualifications:

* Essential: Commitment to achieve Diploma level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (children and young people pathway).

* Desirable: Diploma level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (children and young people pathway), understanding of therapeutic approaches.

Knowledge & Experience:

* Essential: Understanding of child development and children's physical and emotional needs.

* Desirable: Experience in a residential setting, knowledge of relevant regulations and safeguarding policies.

Skills & Abilities:

* Essential: Strong verbal and written communication, computer literacy, ability to establish positive relationships, teamwork, adherence to policies and procedures.

* Desirable: Prioritisation skills.

Personal Attributes:

* Essential: Commitment, flexibility, honesty, integrity, interpersonal skills, compassion.

* Desirable: Social awareness.

Social Working Conditions:

Provide cover as needed, including overnight shifts and driving as required.
