Manager of Intervention/Pastoral and Counselling
A small therapeutic school based just outside Braintree are looking for a Pastoral/Intervention Manager for their two small bespoke SEN schools to start with them in September 2024.
Annual Salary £24,000 - £26,000
This role is a full time role and you will need to be a car driver.
The schools cater for students who have suffered Trauma, Anxiety, Autism and/or ADHD, the classes are very small with no more than 2-3 students in each class.
The pastoral role is to support the vulnerable students and prevent escalation, barriers to learning and poor attendance.
You will need to be committed to securing excellent attendance and behaviour and be able to identify students who are at risk of non attendance.
Skills and Qualifications to do this role
A qualification or recognised course in Counselling or Psychology
Previous experience of working with SEN pupils who have barriers to learning and trauma
The ability to build good relationships with the students, parents and carers
Be able to liaise effectively with outside agencies and professional bodies.
Have a driving licence and own a car
