Salary: £44,000 depending on experience + overtime

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join a rapidly expanding automotive manufacturer in South Bristol.

Due to expansion, there are a lot of opportunities for progression within the business and engineering department.

The Role:

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be supporting the highly exacting manufacture of leisure vehicles manufacturing plant and equipment.

You will be responsible for all maintenance aspects within the company to ensure the plant operates at optimum reliability, efficiency and safety in accordance with current legislation.

Whilst reporting directly to the Head of Facilities, you will interface with all departments within the company.

This challenging position places high premiums on safe working, effective teamwork, clear communication, initiative, intelligent judgment, proactiveness, cost analysis and ability to work out of hours.

Working towards Zero Defects, Zero Breakdown, Right First Time and Zero Accidents

Break Downs

Ensuring efficient and effective response to any unplanned or emergency works required at the sites.

To ensure data is captured on Pirana CMMS to capture history and any trend of asset reliability.

Liaise with production to solve issues during production down times.

Planned & Preventative Maintenance

To plan and carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on all plant and equipment aiming to achieve maximum plant availability, with a target of zero unplanned downtime.

Effective / economical control of critical spare for all key processes.

Assist in the introduction / commissioning of product / processes.

Liaise with suppliers to procure parts, spares and consumables in a timely manner.

Continual monitoring of plant and ancillaries and rectify faults before they become in issue.

Assist in planning and execution of shutdown activities.

The Successful Individual will have:

Indentured apprenticeship (or equivalent formal qualifications, NVQ 3) in mechanical and electrical (multi-skilled) and at least 5 years' experience in a maintenance role

18th edition wiring regulations (inspection and test would be beneficial)

Knowledge of TPM system (Desirable - training can be offered)

Knowledge of PLC automation, CNC routers and wood-working equipment (Desirable - training can be offered)

Experience working on pneumatic and vacuum equipment (Desirable - training can be offered)

Electrical competence, standard industry 3 phase to 24vdc.

Experience with CMMS systems.
