We are seeking a Medical Coordinator to join a dedicated Donor team within a wonderful cancer charity. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive support to donors post-donation, ensuring a seamless and positive experience. The successful candidate will facilitate meaningful connections between donors and patients, manage donor journeys using a bespoke database, and communicate primarily via phone, email, and post.

Ensure appropriate post-donation care and manage the donor follow-up process.

Coordinate with medical advisors and professionals to provide necessary medical attention and support to donors post-donation.

Offer ongoing support to donors through phone, email, and post, ensuring they feel valued and informed throughout the recovery process.

Conduct standard health assessments following a stem cell donation.

Facilitate communication of post-donation activities, including anonymous correspondence and updates on the recipient’s progress.

Provide educational materials and guidance on post-donation recovery.

Respond to, investigate, or escalate any quality incidents, adverse events, or complaints promptly.

Maintain the specialised database to track donor interactions and recovery status.

Prepare and submit reports on donor follow-up activities and outcomes.

Ensure compliance with all medical/health-related standards and documentation requirements.

A-Level education (or equivalent) or relevant vocational training.

2+ years of work experience in a busy team/organisation.

Experience in healthcare, donor coordination, or patient support roles.

Proficiency in using large database/CRM systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and a good phone manner.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
