Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a heavy engineering company to recruit an Electrical Charge Hand to join their team in Sheffield.

Salary - £19ph + £25pw + £60pw for being a chargehand - total salary £41,470

Hours: - Days based role Monday to Friday - 6am to 1.30pm

This Electrical Charge Hand is hands-on role, working both independently and within the site Maintenance Team.

Our client is looking for someone who is able to work unsupervised and their own manage own time appropriately.

Duties of the Electrical Charge Hand include:

Delegating tasks to the team
Respond immediately to breakdowns, carry out fault diagnosis and repairs in a safe and timely manner
Utilise mobile phone / walkie-talkie and respond appropriately to calls both within and outside working hours
Complete a daily written report on work carried out, spares stock levels, PPMs etc
Monitor spares, identify when stock levels are low
Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and HSE checks
Work on continuous improvement and project work to increase plant reliability, energy savings and cost reductions
We would be keen to speak with Electrical Charge Hands with the following experience:

Electrical engineering apprenticeship
Qualified to NVQ level 3 in electrical / maintenance engineering
Proficient in panel building and wiring including control circuits and motor starters
Be capable of carrying out electrical installations including cabling and power supplies
Previous experience within an industrial environment
