Salary: £260 - £300 per day

Job Overview:

The Design Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating design activities for our utilities project. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure that all design elements are executed seamlessly, meet quality standards, and adhere to project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including engineers, project managers, and construction professionals, to facilitate efficient design workflows.
  • Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to gather and incorporate feedback into design plans.
  • Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential design issues, and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and documentation.
  • Support the preparation of design presentations and reports for clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a design coordination role within the utilities or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations and practices.
