We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in central Blackpool. This full-time position is ideal for someone who is dedicated to making a difference for children with additional needs and is looking to join a supportive school community.

Key Responsibilities:

Work one-on-one and in small groups with children who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Support the class teacher with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting learning activities to meet the needs of each child.
Assist with behaviour management and promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Foster strong relationships with pupils, using encouragement and patience to help them achieve their full potential.
Liaise with the SENCO and external professionals to ensure cohesive support for each child.
Monitor and record children's progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents.

About You:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within an SEN setting or working with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential. 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and patient approach.
A solid understanding of strategies to support children with SEN, including behaviour management techniques.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team but also independently when needed.
Flexibility and a proactive attitude towards supporting each child's unique needs.
