Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a civil nuclear and defence subcontractor to support a nuclear defence framework in recruiting a team of 8 Decommissioning Operatives on a rolling contract for its Aldermaston site.

The Decommissioning Operative role comes with an hourly rate up to £29.73 through CIS.

Key skills

Carry out tasks as required for specific decommissioning projects, including:

Plant and equipment size reduction
Plant and equipment decontamination
Building/room/floor decontamination
Support to HP monitors during waste packaging and processing.
Other work areas could involve plant operations, installation and support to commissioning.
Complete and maintain as necessary all associated records and documentation.
Contribute to the development of business by internal referral and communication of appropriate information and intelligence.

Based at Aldermaston full time
Hourly rate of £29.73 CIS
Overtime (40-60 hours at 1.5x and 60+ hours at 2x times)
