This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering diverse residential projects across Devon and Cornwall, ranging from 50 to 130 units per site.As a Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee the financial management of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. This permanent role offers a competitive salary, a generous car allowance, and the chance to work on varied and impactful developments in a thriving region.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of cost control and contract administration on assigned projects.
  • Prepare budgets, cost plans, and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure best value.
  • Conduct site visits and measure works to ensure progress aligns with financial forecasts.
  • Manage variations, valuations, and final accounts.
  • Collaborate with project teams to drive successful project outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential housing development.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and financial controls.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (e.g., HNC, HND, Degree).
