Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Catering Manager/School Chef to join our secondary school in Greenwich. This role is integral to providing nutritious, high-quality meals to our students, ensuring their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and serve balanced and nutritious meals for students and staff.- Oversee the daily operations of the school kitchen, including inventory management, budgeting, and ordering supplies.- Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety standards.- Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to maintain high standards of service.- Develop and adapt menus to accommodate dietary needs, allergies, and preferences.- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.

Requirements:- Proven experience as a Catering Manager or Chef within a school setting.- Relevant culinary qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Professional Cookery, Food Hygiene Certificate).- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.- Ability to manage budgets and work efficiently under pressure.
