The home specialises in offering support to individuals with various care needs, including Detention Under the Mental Health Act, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Conditions, Older Person Care, Sensory Impairment, Substance Misuse, and Younger Adults. Job Description:As the Nursing Home Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility and ensuring that all residents receive the highest standards of care. You will manage a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, efficient financial management, and a high level of resident satisfaction. You will lead with compassion, professionalism, and a focus on person-centered care, while managing the specific care categories we support, such as Detention Under Mental Health Act, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Conditions, Older Persons Care, Sensory Impairment, Substance Misuse, and Younger Adults.Key Responsibilities:• Oversee all aspects of the nursing home's daily operations, including staff management, care quality, health and safety, and adherence to regulatory requirements.• Lead a multidisciplinary team providing tailored care for residents with diverse needs, including those under the Mental Health Act, with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, sensory impairments, and those experiencing substance misuse or in need of care for older persons and younger adults.• Ensure the provision of high-quality, individualized, and person-centered care, promoting independence and improving quality of life for all residents.• Regularly review, update, and monitor care plans to ensure they are reflective of each resident's evolving needs.• Ensure full compliance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, mental health regulations, and all relevant legal frameworks, including Mental Health Act requirements.• Manage budgets and resources, ensuring financial sustainability and optimal allocation of resources for high-quality care.• Foster a positive and supportive working environment for staff, encouraging professional development and ensuring adequate training on care categories, such as mental health, learning disabilities, and substance misuse.• Handle resident and family concerns and complaints with professionalism, ensuring prompt and effective resolutions.• Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and local authorities.• Lead audits, inspections, and performance reviews, continuously striving to enhance the quality of care provided to residents.Key Requirements:• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification or equivalent in Health and Social Care.• Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or in a senior management position within a similar care setting.• Strong understanding of various care categories, including Detention Under the Mental Health Act, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Conditions, Older Person Care, Sensory Impairment, Substance Misuse, and Younger Adults.• Knowledge of CQC regulations and experience in achieving and maintaining high CQC ratings.• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage, motivate, and support a team of staff across different care specialties.• Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing person-centered care.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners.• Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and operational efficiencies.• Up-to-date DBS check and professional registration.Benefits:• Competitive salary range of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum.• Generous annual leave entitlement.• Pension scheme.• Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.• A supportive work environment focused on the well-being of both residents and staff.Call Claire at Amber Mace to discuss the role in more detail on (phone number removed) or email your updated CV to (url removed)
