Summary
At the National Trust we raise funds in all kinds of innovative ways – from National Lottery Heritage Fund multi-million-pound grants, to strong commercial partnerships and people-powered campaigns. Joining us in this new Innovation and Development Manager role within Fundraising you’ll support the development of our highest priority projects and propositions to support statutory and lottery grants.
As a core member of the Grants Fundraising team, you’ll be working closely with the national grants managers, regional grants consultants, and project teams to develop projects and ideas that support high-quality successful grant applications.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you'll be doing
As Innovation and Development Manager you’ll be developing creative and innovative public benefit focused projects and propositions that will appeal to a broad spectrum of grant funders.
You’ll lead on how we meet our strategic requirements by facilitating the formation of initiatives and ideas, transforming these into projects delivered to drive growth. You’ll work closely with grant funding organisations, project teams and other key internal and external stakeholders. As subject matter expert in the team, you’ll provide specialist knowledge, insight & guidance supporting the development of holistic propositions, projects and plans which have people and public benefit at their heart.

•High degree of knowledge of project and proposition development
•Experience and knowledge of Grants funding and grant funded projects
•Demonstrable ability to frame project ideas - structuring robust packaging of needs into coherent and compelling propositions
•Experience creating and developing innovative projects, focused on public benefit
•Proven ability to collaborate and influence with internal stakeholders at all levels
•Strong facilitation and workshop methods
•Excellent written, verbal & presentation skills
•Experience of working with partnerships and communities to develop ideas & projects
