We are working for a market leading research company, backed by top tier Private Equity firms. After several successful acquisitions the business has seen sustained growth and global expansion, cementing them as the market leader in their industry. This is a fast-paced business with ambitious yet achievable growth plans.

This is a newly created Financial Controller position to act as the number 2 to the impressive Head of Finance.

The core responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of comprehensive Board-level monthly management accounts. You will oversee and manage the daily routines that are essential for successful reporting. This position offers exceptional senior exposure, allowing you to work closely with the Head of Finance, CFO, and other C-Suite executives. It will provide a platform to make a clear and quick impact within the business.

Due to the nature of the business, this role is hands-on, requiring you to lead by example, post journals, and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely & accurate reporting of monthly management account packs
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the London-based trading and processing teams, overseeing payables, receivables, and management accounting tasks
  • Enhance delivery and value-add commentary of reported numbers
  • Minimise audit adjustments by ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal controls
  • Maintain and drive the two-way communication between the Business and the Finance team
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reports to internal and external stakeholders, driving operational and financial performance

Essential Requirements

  • ACA/ CA qualified with 5+ years post qualified experience within a multi-national / multi-entity business with an element of complexity
  • Team leadership experience; managing teams through evolving change
  • Proven experience driving, implementing and operating scalable processes
  • A roll-your-sleeves-up mentality & great work ethic to make an impact and build a foundation for their growth

This is a majority office-based role, with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
