Randstad C&P are currently recruiting a Senior Engineer to join an exciting infrastructure scheme on behalf of a Tier One contractor. The role is based in Oxfordshire, and is seeking a Senior Engineer to directly report into the Project Manager, responsible for more junior members of staff and driving the project forward. The role can provide successful applicants with stability, progression opportunities, and a warm office culture. The role requires a candfidate who has a highways and roadworks background, in addition to drainage and relevant civils.

The role requires a self-starter who has been in the working in the civil engineering industry for a minimum of 5 years. The project involves upgrades to public realm, highways, associated civils and more! As a Senior Engineer, selected candidates will play a pivotal role in leading and managing civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and execution of infrastructure upgrades and ensuring projects are completed on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage civil engineering projects, including 278 works and highways improvements.
Develop detailed project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and local authorities.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Oversee the preparation and submission of technical reports and documentation.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Utilize innovative solutions and best practices to enhance project efficiency and sustainability.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent (HNC, etc.) in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on highways, 278 works, and infrastructure upgrades.
Proficient in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects.
