Job Summary:

The successful Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial and commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities:

* Financial Management: Oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

* Contract Management: Manage and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favourable terms and conditions.

* Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks associated with projects.

* Cost Planning and Control: Develop cost plans and budgets, monitor project expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures.

* Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.

* Reporting: Prepare detailed commercial reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.

* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors and commercial staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

* Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any commercial issues and ensuring their satisfaction with project delivery.

Requirements:

* Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

* Experience: Experience in a commercial management role within the construction industry.

* Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction contracts, financial management, and commercial best practices.
