Working closely with the managers and partners, you will be responsible for the preparation of annual and management accounts and tax returns. Possessing excellent communication skills and a genuine team spirit you will also assist junior staff with bookkeeping tasks, VAT returns and CIS returns where applicable.

Main areas of responsibility:

* Reconciling the key control data in the bookkeeping software with original documents.

* Preparation of client annual and management financial statements.

* Directly consulting with clients to ensure all needs are met.

* Ensuring all working papers are complete, accurate and fully referenced.

* Completion of tax returns

* Provide help and assistance to the team and assist in training where necessary.

About you:

* At least 2 years accounting experience within a practice environment.

* Comprehensive understanding finance regulations and the tax system, although in-house training will be provided.

* Qualified AAT or qualified by experience.

* Wishing to start or already studying towards ACA / ACCA qualifications.

* Study not essential if not desired.

* Experience of Sage, Xero or Quickbooks would be an advantage.
