Our client is looking for a Lab Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis on a contract basis for 3 months, with the possibility of being extended. Our client is proud to be a global health company, looking into human diseases and tackling world health issues. We are offering a salary range of £27,000 - £45,000 doe.

As a Test Technician you will contribute towards the development of new and existing physical consumer products. You will work within a team of Product Designers, Mechanical Engineers and Electronic Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the efficient running of the R&D laboratory, workshop and stores area

* Developing & improving the laboratory and test capability to meet future project needs

* Resource planning and managing external test houses where required

* Planning and sequencing workloads to meet project demands

* Design detailed product test plans

* Ensuring risk assessments have been completed

* Ensuring H&S is being adhered to within the laboratory, workshop & stores area, and meets our company's standards

* Manage the safe storage and disposal of materials and waste products that are generated in the laboratory and workshop

Job Requirements:

* Higher National Diploma in engineering or equivalent

* Experience as a test technician for electro-mechanical products

* H&S knowledge and experience completing risk assessments
