Elevation Recruitment Group's Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be recruiting an injection moulding machine operator on behalf of a plastics manufacturer in Sheffield. 

The Role:
You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day productions activities and first-line preventive maintenance within the manufacturing department.

Salary & Shift:
Monday - Friday weekly rotating shift pattern 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
Salary £33500 - £36500  DOE 

Responsibilities:

Oversee running of injection moulding machines 
Troubleshoot injection moulding machines, moulds and peripherals to enhance performance, utilising Pareto data capture to identify issues 
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Organize quality packaging operatives to meet production requirements 
Prepare daily production plans and performance reports, providing timely updates to the production manager.
Uphold quality standards and implement corrective actions for non-conformance
Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize scrap rates and waste
Train and develop staff in operative procedures and instructions 
Conduct preventative maintenance on production equipment 
Maintain records of production and maintenance for moulds in and out of use.
Collaborate with Maintenance, Logistics, Production and Quality teams daily 
Identify and implement improvements to process, quality and cost-effectiveness of moulding operations 
Perform colour changes, colour sampling and material trials

Experience:

Experience in operating Injection Moulding Machine 
ITM1 Qualification 
Experience in Plastics industry
