Location: Wigan Hospital
Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour
 
Are you an experienced switchboard operator with excellent communication skills? Wigan Hospital is looking for a dedicated and professional individual to join our team as a Switchboard Operator.
 
Key Details:
 
•Shifts:
•Monday to Friday: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm or 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
•Saturday and Sunday: 8:00 am - 2:00 pm
•Location: Wigan Hospital
 
Responsibilities:
 
•Operate the hospital switchboard, managing incoming and outgoing calls efficiently.
•Direct calls to the appropriate departments or individuals.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and external callers.
•Handle emergency and priority calls in line with hospital protocols.
•Maintain accurate call logs and records.
 
Requirements:
 
•Previous switchboard experience is essential.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
•Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
