IAM security engineer (DevSecOps)

About the client: Global financial trading organisation.

About the role: As an IAM DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for driving modernisation across the company’s platform, helping meet their high standards of governance. As an experienced engineer with 3+ years working in DevSecOps teams (ideally with IAM products such as SailPoint) and a focus on delivering results in high-performance, resilient IT environments, you will be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and have a strong understanding of IT systems from design to operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy identity and access management (IAM) solutions in DevOps pipelines, implementing least privilege access and role-based controls.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software builds, testing, and deployment.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.  
• Maintain consistent configuration managements environments, utilising tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef. 
• Create monitoring tracking ensuring top performance for infrastructure and applications and high availability and disaster recovery strategies for key critical systems.

• Automate user identity provisioning, de-provisioning, and lifecycle management using SailPoint IdentityIQ as IAM tool
• Develop APIs and scripts for identity governance tasks, like access reviews and role certifications, within SailPoint.

• Integrate security checks within the DevOps pipeline and automate compliance verifications.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
• More than 3 years in IAM engineer, DevOps engineer, or DevSecOps roles, ideally in the trading industry, delivering scalable, high-performance solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with determination to overcome technical challenges
• Excellent communication with stakeholders and technical teams
• Strong collaborative team player
