Role Summary:
As the SEN PE Teacher, you will design and deliver adaptive physical education programs that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students. You will foster an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment where students can develop physical skills, confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love for active living.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, deliver, and evaluate tailored PE lessons that accommodate the individual needs of students with physical, sensory, cognitive, or behavioural challenges.

* Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages participation, teamwork, and enjoyment of physical activities.

* Collaborate with SEN staff, therapists, and parents/carers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and strategies to support each student's progress.

* Utilise specialised equipment and adaptive techniques to enable all students to participate in physical education activities.

* Promote students' physical and emotional well-being, encouraging confidence and self-esteem through movement and sports.

* Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents/carers, and the wider teaching team.

* Organise and participate in school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities tailored for SEN students.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all activities.

* Stay updated with best practices and developments in adaptive physical education and SEN teaching.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ECTs welcome to apply.

* A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.

* Understanding of a range of SEN, including physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities.

* Knowledge of adaptive physical education techniques and use of specialised equipment.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
