Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with a long established client in the Billingshurst area in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join their team to cover maternity.  They are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is willing to undertake a wide range of tasks within a busy finance department. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and capable of supporting the Finance Team, especially during strict reporting deadlines.

Day-to-day duties of the Finance Assistant:
  • Processing supplier invoices against purchase orders and accurately posting to the ledger.
  • Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Invoicing for our house accounts.
  • Conducting bank reconciliations.
  • Processing expenses and credit card transactions.
  • Administering contract manager systems.
  • Managing credit control for our SLA/License income stream.
  • Providing cover for other team members during busy periods or periods of annual leave.
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach within the Finance Team, willing to get involved and investigate issues where necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Previous relevant experience within a busy Accounts team.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 is required; Sage 200 experience is preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • AAT or relevant accounting qualification would be an advantage.
