Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with a long established client in the Billingshurst area in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join their team to cover maternity. They are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is willing to undertake a wide range of tasks within a busy finance department. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and capable of supporting the Finance Team, especially during strict reporting deadlines.
Day-to-day duties of the Finance Assistant: - Processing supplier invoices against purchase orders and accurately posting to the ledger.
- Performing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
- Invoicing for our house accounts.
- Conducting bank reconciliations.
- Processing expenses and credit card transactions.
- Administering contract manager systems.
- Managing credit control for our SLA/License income stream.
- Providing cover for other team members during busy periods or periods of annual leave.
- Demonstrating a proactive approach within the Finance Team, willing to get involved and investigate issues where necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Previous relevant experience within a busy Accounts team.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 is required; Sage 200 experience is preferred.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- AAT or relevant accounting qualification would be an advantage.
