Electrical Estimator - As a result of continued growth, my client, an award winning Building Services Contractor, now have a requirement for an Electrical Estimator, to prepare accurate and timely estimates for company projects from pre-tender to post tender stage.

What you will do:

* Estimating for electrical services on a wide range of projects including commercial, hotel & leisure, healthcare, education, industrial, pharmaceutical, data centres etc.

* Responsible for consistent workflow to keep the company operational.

* Ensure each tender is completed consistently and in line with company procedure.

* Gain knowledge of actual installation time and review projects after completion to evaluate where actual is not in line with budgeted.

* Assist as part of the estimating team to successfully achieve the business units revenue plan by assisting with the production of accurate and timely estimates. Liaising with other employees within the company to identify, share and implement best practice.

* Prepare each tender in a consistently structured and accurate format in line with company policies, standards and processes, with appropriate consideration of all foreseeable construction, technical and commercial risks.

* Produce accurate take off / measures of tenders and subsequent inputting into estimating software to ensure that the prime cost of the project is fully understood.

* Vet enquiries received in order to comply with the preparation and dispatch of accurate supplier / subcontract enquiries to the timescales dictated. Work with specialist subcontractors and assess quotations with a view to validating the information received and confirming that it is spec compliant.

* Preparing Product Substitution and Value Engineering options.

* Gain up to date knowledge of the market place regarding the level of pricing, competition and volume of work to ensure that relevant and competitive estimates are consistently prepared.

Qualifications

* Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or of preparing electrical estimations within Building Services.

* Knowledge of Electrical installations an advantage but not essential.

* Bachelor Degree Level in Engineering or similar Discipline/equivalent experience.

* Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.

* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
