Morgan King Construction are looking for a Mechanical Site Operative/Labourer in the Haymarket area on a commerical project with our longstanding client until February.

Job Title: Mechanical Site Operative / Mechanical Labourer
Location: Haymarket, Edinburgh
Job Type: Temporary/Contract (with potential for extension to February)
Reports To: Mechanical Project Manager

Duration: 4 months (till February 2025)

Key Responsibilities

* Drill holes in plasterboard to specified dimensions and locations.

* Assist with various mechanical tasks on-site as required by the project team.

* Perform general site operative duties, including tidying, moving materials, and supporting tradespeople as needed.

* Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.

* Work independently, following detailed instructions with minimal supervision.

Requirements

* Experience: Prior experience in a similar mechanical labourer role or construction environment preferred.

* Skills: Competency in using hand tools (especially drills) and basic construction equipment.

* Independence: Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently.

* Reliability: Punctual and dependable, with strong attention to detail in task completion.

* CSCS Card Required

Working Hours

* Full-time hours; may include early starts or weekend work, depending on project needs.
