A fantastic opportunity is available to join a specialist fit-out company based in the Northeast, focused on delivering high-quality retail and leisure projects across the North East, North West, Yorkshire, and Birmingham. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are excited to announce the opening of a new office in Leeds within the next 12 months. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional spaces, on time and within budget, and are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join the growing team.

This job will involve working across the Northeast; Yorkshire; Northwest and Birmingham and to be successful in this role you must have demonstratable experience working in the Retail / Commercial Fit Out sector for a UK based company.

Until the Leeds office is opened, the successful candidate will be expected to visit head office in Newcastle twice a week.

The Duties

* Monitor appropriate labour and site management specific to the project

* Attend and contribute to client and contracts meetings

* Collate, manage and sign off snagging works completed by project support team

* Responsible for site health and safety from pre-contract stage through to project completion

* Promote commercial awareness for on-site projects

* Liaise with supply chain team to ensure compliance and effective site set up.

* Ensure quality of workmanship in line company expectations

* Deliver projects to agreed program of works

* Monitor program of works and identify shortfalls and solutions.

The Requirements

* Proven track record and experience in project management specific to the delivery of retail fitouts preferably with high end brands.

* Experience with complex projects requiring structural alterations, permissions and approvals.

* Comprehensive understanding of an end-to-end project management process, as well as fit-out and construction methods in the retail interior environment.

* Experience with seeing projects through from conception to completion as the lead project manager, preferably in a Project Management agency or a General Construction company, or as a client representative.

* Ability to learn local market nuances, requirements and needs to deliver projects successfully as part of the delivery team.

* Have an acute attention to detail with the confidence to insist on delivering top level customer service.

* Provide practical solutions to drive the project forward, adding value and exceeding the clients' expectations
