Are you a passionate and experienced Senior Children's Support Worker looking for a rewarding career?
Our client, based in Heanor or Ilkeston, Derbyshire, is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team and provide exceptional care and support to young people aged 11-18 with complex needs, including autism.

  • Competitive Salary: £27,592.24 per annum (inclusive of 1 sleep-in per week), with a starting base rate of £12.58 - £13.33 per hour (£25,512.24 - £27,033.24 annually).

About You:

  • You have at least 1 year of experience in a similar residential childcare setting.
  • You possess a strong understanding of autism and challenging behaviours.
  • You hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • You have a valid driving licence.
  • You are passionate about safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people.
  • You are able to work a mixture of early, late and full day shifts including some weekends and bank holidays.


Your Role:
As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide safe, stimulating care and support to young people with complex needs.
  • Create a nurturing and supportive "home from home" environment.
  • Participate in a wide range of activities with the young people.
  • Support the young people within the classroom setting.
  • Carry out sleep in duties.


Shift Patterns:

  • Early: 07:30-15:00
  • Late: 14:30-22:00 or sleep-in
  • Full: 07:30-22:00 or sleep-in
