Our client, a leading procurement services business, is looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager to spearhead their expansion in the South (from Birmingham down) across the hospitality channel. This role is pivotal for their growth, focusing on customer acquisition across hotels, leisure venues, and other hospitality areas. They need a dynamic individual who can hit the ground running, handling both new business development and account management.As the Business Development Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Landing and expanding new clients across the hospitality channel
  • You’ll utilise your existing connections in this channel to help bring on new business and also gain introductions to potential new customers
  • Convert leads generated by the marketing department to determine viability of the opportunity
  • You will take responsibility for ensuring all proposals are delivered to the customer in a timely manner. You will be responsible for reviewing the commercial proposals and negotiating on aspects of the contract to ensure a profitable outcome that delivers client satisfaction
  • Lead the onboarding of new customers from the successful commencement of new contracts and ensure a successful experience for the customer and that the new relationship is protected from any potential risk or disruption
  To be successful, the Business Development Manager will need:
  • Can evidence success of winning new business across the hospitality/ HORECA channel
  • Ideally experience of selling food and beverages into the hospitality channel, although experience of selling non food items relevant to food services would also be beneficial
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience of developing client proposals and negotiating on pricing models
  • Previous experience of working with a sales management system (salesforce or similar) to ensure effective
  • Full UK driving license and able to commit to weekly travel across the south region
