Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Are you a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a Teaching Assistant with proven over 10 years of experience? Do you hold a Higher Level Teaching Assistant certificate? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Pangbourne
Salary: £83.50 - £90 per day
Contract Type: Full time (part time considered for the right candidate)
Start Date: ASAP

Join an inclusive primary school, that has an aim to improve the educational system for every child. You would have seen the educational system has evolved over the last 10 years, so why not continue to be apart of the positive movements. This Pangbourne based Higher Level Teaching Assistant role will focus on all EYFS - Year 6 classes, taking on HLTA responsibilities if you wish to expand the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising children to ensure their safety and well-being.
Recognising and catering to Pangbourne children at various stages of development.
Planning, organising, and implementing engaging play and learning activities.
Building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Supporting children with special educational needs, including those with communication and language (C&L) difficulties and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
Managing challenging behavior and implementing sensory interventions.
Assisting in lesson planning, teaching, and assessing development progress.

The ideal Pangbourne Candidate:

Qualifications: Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
Experience: At least 10 years of experience with no HLTA certificate OR 1 years with a HLTA certificatee.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and experience supporting children with SEN and EAL.
Skills: Paediatric First Aid, safeguarding training, food hygiene knowledge, and functional skills in Maths and English at Level 2.
Personal Attributes: Team player with a passion for working with children, treating them with dignity and respect, and fostering their development.
