Electrical Construction Manager

A leading Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager for a new commercial project in Central London. This organisation delivers projects across multiple sectors, including Pharmaceutical, Data Centres, Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Power Generation, with a presence in the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager, joining a supportive and collaborative team committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Support the Project Manager in supervising on-site personnel.

* Lead by example, ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.

* Take charge of on-site activities, implementing the site safety plan and rules.

* Ensure team members are trained and qualified to perform their tasks.

* Manage labour and material resources efficiently, including subcontractor hours.

* Monitor and track subcontractor progress, addressing performance issues.

* Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors through clear communication.

* Oversee and ensure project specifications are met before installation.

* Implement the project quality plan, closing out snag lists promptly.

* Assist in project handovers and close-out activities in collaboration with the Project Manager.

* Ensure all work aligns with project scope, and secure approval for changes or additional work.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

* Trade or degree qualification in an electrical discipline.

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a construction management role within the electrical contracting industry.

* Previous experience in data centre construction projects.

* Strong leadership and people management skills to motivate teams and manage subcontractors.

* Comprehensive knowledge of the design and construction process.
