Lead and Inspire in the Humanities Faculty

A well-established secondary school in Uxbridge is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Humanities to lead its thriving department. The Role

The successful candidate will:

* Provide strong leadership and strategic direction for the Humanities Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.

* Develop and implement an innovative curriculum that engages and challenges students.

* Support and mentor teachers within the department, fostering professional growth and excellence.

* Monitor student progress and outcomes, implementing strategies to enhance achievement.

* Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school development and improvement.

* Promote a culture of inquiry, discussion, and debate within the Humanities subjects.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

* Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with significant experience in teaching History, Geography, Religious Studies, or Social Sciences.

* Have a proven track record of success in raising student attainment and leading a team.

* Demonstrate exceptional leadership and management skills.

* Be passionate about Humanities education and committed to fostering a love for the subject.

* Possess excellent communication and organisational abilities.
