An opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join the team at UK Biocentre, a not-for-profit organisation that provides world leading sample management and high-capacity bioprocessing.  You will be expected to deliver projects that meet our high standards for time, cost, and quality, aligning all outcomes with the strategic objectives of the organisation. You will receive a salary of £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, depending on experience plus a pension scheme, 26 days holiday (increasing to 30 with service), holiday buy/sell scheme, cycle to work scheme, free car parking onsite, Employee Assistance Programme, and access to a reward gateway offering discounts and cashback. You will be office based, working Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00.As Project Manager at UK Biocentre, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Overseeing individual projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ensuring each project within the portfolio meets the specified deliverables.
  • Adhering to constraints of time, cost, and pre-defined quality standards of UK Biocentre.
  • Managing projects that vary in nature, scale, and complexity, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Acting as an integral part of the customer's extended team.
  • Managing dependencies for delivery.
  • Holding teams accountable for timescale shifts or changes.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of delivery, ensuring adherence to UK Biocentre’s quality ISO standards.
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and successes.
  • Proactively managing risks to ensure objectives are not compromised.
  • Recognising potential risks that could have a negative impact.
  • Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensures that dependencies for delivery are managed efficiently, utilising the current ongoing developing software platforms.
