Learning Support Assistant - Gateshead

Milk Education are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant for an 'Outstanding' Primary School in Morpeth to work on a long-term basis starting as soon as possible! You will be assigned to pupils on a 1:1 basis and providing general class support.

Learning Support Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

● Encourage and find ways to engage pupils in their work

● Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs

● Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate

● Deliver catch-up sessions

Learning Support Assistant Non-negotiables:

● Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.

● Must have a passion for education

● Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills

● Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
