RM Recruit is pleased to partner with a reputable Erdington-based organisation in their search for a resourceful Assistant Management Accountant. This full-time, permanent role is office-based Monday to Friday for the first six months, with the potential for two remote workdays per week following a successful probationary period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and assist in preparing year-end accounts.
• Collaborate across departments to gather financial data and support financial planning.
• Assist with audit preparations and liaise with external auditors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Post journals, prepayments, and accruals.
• Contribute to the production of monthly management accounts.
• Drive process improvements and support the implementation of new financial systems.

The successful candidate will be part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA or possess equivalent experience, with a strong background in management accounting and excellent analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software is essential, along with strong communication and interpersonal abilities. The ability to manage workload priorities and work effectively within a team is critical.
