Retail Assistant - Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team. Key Responsibilities

* Customer Service: Greet customers, provide assistance with product selection, and address inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.

* Sales: Assist in upselling, cross-selling, and achieving sales targets by recommending suitable products.

* Merchandising: Maintain an organized and visually appealing store by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product presentation standards.

* Transactions: Operate the cash register, process payments, handle returns or exchanges, and issue receipts.

* Stock Management: Receive, unpack, and label stock deliveries. Perform inventory checks and report discrepancies.

* Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, tidy, and safe by following health and safety guidelines.

* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

* Product Knowledge: Stay updated on product details, promotions, and store policies to provide accurate information to customers.

Skills and Qualifications

* Essential:

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to provide excellent customer service skills, to actively listen to customers and address customer needs and requirements

* Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently including cash handling and operating the point-of-sale system

* Proficient in computer and point of sale system

Job details

* Competitive pay and benefits.

* Hours will be Tuesday-Saturday 8.45am-17.15pm (37.5 hrs per week)
