The Role

We are looking for a substation inspector to support the ongoing operational delivery of HV and LV inspection and maintenance programmes across the UK . With over 2000 sites under contract ranging from 400V right up to 132kV primary substations, no day is the same. Our contracts range from IDNO networks, large scale renewable sites to luxury London retailers. You'll be responsible for ensuring all electricity networks are installed and inspected in a safe and professional manner and to a high standard in line with Sinewave safe working practises.

An idea of what you'll be doing:

* You'll be working across the UK on various assets ranging from low voltage sites right up to 132kV primary substations.

* You'll carry out non-intrusive inspections and be responsible for producing reports utilising our digital inspection tool, Safety Culture.

* You'll be carrying out remedial works to bring sites back up to standard.

* You'll be supporting on high voltage outages when intrusive maintenance is required.

* Act as a Standby Engineer for our extensive O&M portfolio with over 2000 sites across the UK.

You'll be a successful Substation Inspector if you have a proven track record of:

* Working autonomously on large scale routine inspection programmes.

* Assessing potentially hazardous and dangerous situations, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives and the public. Undertaking site specific risk assessments and creating RAMS, and

* competent in issuing and cancelling safety documents.

* Ensuring personnel and your wider team understand the duties under safety documents.

* Understanding the local network anomalies and requirements under ESQCRs.

You'll already have experience & qualifications in:

* Currently hold (or have held) substation access with experience in high or low voltage trade.

* CSCS (affiliated).

* The use of Productivity and Collaboration Software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint etc. across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets, laptops etc.

* Full UK driving licence (maximum of 3 points).
