Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Pharmacist to join a well-established NHS Hospital pharmacy team in Birmingham, working specifically within the Cardiology team. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team and will play a crucial role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical services to patients under cardiology care.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing clinical pharmacy support to the cardiology wards.
Reviewing medication prescriptions and offering clinical advice to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Conducting medication reviews and liaising with medical staff regarding treatment plans.
Ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines within the cardiology department.
Supporting in the development and implementation of medication-related protocols and guidelines.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centred care.

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Pharmacist, registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Previous wards experience within a hospital setting, preferably in Cardiology.
Strong clinical knowledge of cardiology medications and patient care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Availability to start in January.

Additional Information:

This is a 5-day per week position, Monday to Friday, with standard working hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, with a 30-minute break.
