We are currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well led primary school in Havering, London, to support students with Autism. This is a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as possible. Whether you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or a recent graduate with a passion for SEN education and training, we would love to hear from you!

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant with a focus on Autism, your primary responsibilities will include:

Supporting students with Autism on a 1:1 or small group basis to help them engage in lessons and activities.
Assisting the class teacher in delivering personalised and inclusive lessons that cater to the specific needs of each student.
Promoting students' social, emotional, and academic development within a safe and supportive learning environment.
Supporting the development and delivery of SEN education and training to students, ensuring they receive the best possible support to succeed.
Working closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other members of the teaching team to create individualised support plans and track student progress.The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant is preferred, particularly with students with Autism.
Recent graduates with a strong interest in SEN education and training and a desire to work with children with Autism are also encouraged to apply.
An understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and how it impacts learning and development.
A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children with special educational needs.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and the wider school community.The School:
