SEND Teaching Assistant - Richmond Upon Thames

Location: Richmond Upon Thames
Salary: £90 to £110 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

GSL Education is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Richmond Upon Thames. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an environment where student wellbeing and inclusive education are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist students with SEND, including ASD and SEMH, to overcome barriers to learning.
Work with teachers and SENCOs to implement tailored learning strategies.
Encourage students to engage in classroom activities and social interactions.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements:

Experience in an SEN setting or a passion for supporting SEND students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and resilient.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
