My Wolverhampton based Distribution client are looking for an Accounts Supervisor to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is currently doing the role and looking for a new challenge or someone will all round accounting experience looking for the next step up.

Duties:-

* Oversee the daily operations of accounts team

* Learning every role within the accounts team which consists of 5 accounts administrators to be able to support the team during periods of absence / holidays

* Identify where efficiencies and/or improvements can be made within the roles.

* Training the accounts team, in particular with Excel.

* Support the Finance Manager with excel reporting such as reconciliation's and analysing large quantities of data.

* Assist with month end procedures and reporting.

* Support the department with automation which is currently in its planning stages.

Key Skills:-

* Ideally have supervised a team previously or understand the full accounting function and looking for the next step up

* Accounting knowledge - procedures, principles and compliance

* Strong Excel skills - intermediate level & be familiar with formulas, v lookups and pivot tables

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines consistently.

* Knowledge of Sage 200 - beneficial not essential

Working hours - 8.30am to 5.00pm.
