We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Behaviour Buddy to join our dynamic team in Walsall.

About the school

Our partnered school support students aged 11 to 18 with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties, including autism. The school offers modern facilities that support a diverse and engaging curriculum, combining academic and extracurricular activities to match various needs.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with students who require additional behavioural support, providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

* Apply behaviour management plans and strategies in line with school policies.

* Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to personalise support to individual student needs.

* Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback and suggestions for further interventions if necessary.

* Participate in training sessions and professional development related to SEND and behaviour management.

Requirements:

* Enhanced DBS check (mandatory).

* Previous experience working with children or adults with additional needs.

* A relevant teaching qualification demonstrating your knowledge of effective teaching practices.

* Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and sensitively.

Additional Details:

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm.

Salary: Final salary based on experience.

Location: Walsall, West Midlands.
