MacKenzie King are recruiting an Accounts and Administration Assistant for a market leading business, based on the outskirts of Colchester, that was established over 25 years ago. Whilst the Head Office is based in Essex, the company has sites throughout the country. This business prides itself on its robust position within the industry which has been built on years of reliable but innovative performances within the market. They are a privately owned business with a small but committed team who are focussed on maintaining their reputation within the sector and building a stronger future. Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up new project folders within the companies cloud based filing system.
  • Setting up projects within the groups job costing system.
  • Collating employee expenses for processing
  • Assisting with the groups fortnightly Sub-Contractor Payment run.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Covering the work of others within in the admin/accounts function whilst they are on annual leave.
  • Assisting with the logging and processing of accounts payable items.
  • Assisting the Management Team with administrative duties.
  • Correctly filing invoices within the appropriate folders.
  • Booking accommodation for the best possible rates for long distance projects.
  • Collating information for annual accreditations.

Essential Experience

  • Highly motivated individual who can organise and prioritise own workload.
  • Have a keen interest in construction and a willingness to learn.
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines
  • Good IT, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Experience of using Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Basic knowledge of VAT and CIS desirable.
  • Experience of the construction industry essential.
