Your new roleIn your new role as a Primary School Teaching Assistant with Hays, you will have the opportunity to work in one of a number of schools in the Sefton area. As we are currently recruiting for a number of live roles, you will have the opportunity to work in a key stage of your choosing, or you will be given the opportunity to gain invaluable experience with a new key stage. You will work alongside class teachers and your new colleagues to promote a stimulating, inclusive, and accessible learning environment and offer 1:1 and group support in all subjects. Other duties will include intervention and booster sessions, phonics, classroom management, behaviour management and building the self-esteem of your new pupils.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful with your application, you need full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 40 days of referenceable experience supporting children and young people in the last 2 years, as well as:

• Previous experience working with children/students between the ages of 5-11
• An NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous but not essential
• The ability to take a person-centred approach to learning
