Title: Senior Planner

Location: Sheffield

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a dynamic and growing team in the Sheffield office. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects, from urban regeneration schemes to strategic planning initiatives, while collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and fellow professionals to achieve successful outcomes.

Your Responsibilities:

Collaborating with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to guide development management projects
Leading the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies that promote sustainable growth across the UK
Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations
Conducting site searches, feasibility studies, impact assessments, and evaluations to inform decision-making
Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to address planning-related concerns and foster positive relationships
Providing expert planning advice to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
Keeping up to date with legislative changes, emerging trends, and best practices in urban planningRequirements:

Previous experience in a planning role (local government, consultancy, or development industry)
A relevant planning qualification (or working towards one)
Membership of RTPI (or working towards)
Strong understanding of the planning process and systems
Excellent writing skills with an attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Exceptional communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
The ability to manage your workload efficiently and meet deadlines
A positive, enthusiastic approach and a collaborative team playerThis role is hybrid with regular attendance at the Sheffield office. They also have hubs in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, London, and other locations across the UK.
