Deloitte is currently recruiting for a Junior Oracle Financial Functional Support Consultant. For now, this will be a 12 month contract, working on a Hybrid model (Site is in Randfontein).
Overview: We are looking for a motivated Junior Oracle Financial Functional Support professional to join our finance team. This Jnr position will provide support for Oracle Financial modules, assisting users with inquiries and issues while learning to configure and enhance the system. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in finance and technology, and a desire to grow their skills in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Support:
- Assist end-users with questions and issues related to Oracle Financial modules (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable).
- Provide first-level troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to senior staff as needed.
- System Configuration:
- Support the configuration of Oracle Financial applications under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in testing new functionalities and system upgrades.
- Training & Documentation:
- Help develop training materials and user documentation.
- Participate in training sessions to improve user proficiency with Oracle Financials.
- Process Improvement:
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Provide feedback on user experiences to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Assist in generating financial reports and data analysis as requested by senior staff.
- Learn to utilize Oracle reporting tools and techniques.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance and IT teams to support system-related inquiries.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing issues and improvements.
- Administrative Support: Assist in various administrative tasks to support the team and enhance overall efficiency (SOX Compliance).
- Support data migration and system integration tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
- Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with financial reporting or data analysis tools.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or data extraction methods is a plus.
