We are looking for someone who;

• is an outstanding classroom teacher and can teach physical education to key stage 4

• is highly organised having the ability to work in a self-directed manner

• is willing to play a full role in an energetic team

• is ambitious and seeking to further their professional development

• has the potential to deliver outstanding examination results

• wants to participate in curriculum development

• displays a commitment to excellence across the ability range

• has high expectations of him/herself and of students, and the presence to promote them in the classroom

• has the willingness to promote PE learning outside the classroom; for example, by organising trips
General; the following duties shall be deemed to be included as part of professional duties:

• to implement the school’s agreed policies

• to maintain effective discipline through implementation of the school's agreed procedures

• to carry out a share of supervisory duties in accordance with published rosters

• to plan and prepare lessons

• to teach, according to their educational needs, the students assigned to him/her, including the setting and marking of work

• to assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of students, including records on student attendance at lessons together with class and homework set and undertaken
Curriculum

• KS3- Football, Netball, Fitness, Cheerleading, Gymnastics, Trampoline, Rounders, Dance, Athletics, Swimming

• KS4- Multi Sports, Fitness, Swimming

• GCSE PE

• OCR Cambridge National Level 1/2 Sports Science
Education and Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent

• Qualified teacher status
