Property Inspector - Social Housing - Kent (Maidstone Based) - (£20-£25 per hour + Mileage)

We're seeking a proactive Property Inspector to conduct thorough inspections of our social housing properties across Kent, with our main office located in Maidstone. You'll play a crucial role in identifying maintenance needs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining high standards of property condition for our residents.

Your Role:

You'll be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections, documenting findings, and providing detailed reports to ensure our properties are safe, well-maintained, and meet the needs of our residents. You'll be based out of our Maidstone office, with travel throughout the Kent area.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of social housing properties, including internal and external areas.

Identify and document maintenance and repair needs, including defects, damages, and safety hazards.  

Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs and recommendations.

Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and social housing policies.

Liaise with contractors, maintenance teams, and housing officers to coordinate repairs and improvements.

Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

Respond to resident queries and concerns regarding property condition.

Maintain accurate records of inspections and related activities.

What You'll Bring:

Proven experience in property inspections, preferably within the social housing sector.

Strong knowledge of building maintenance and repair practices.

Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.

Ability to produce clear and concise inspection reports.

Strong understanding of relevant building regulations and health and safety standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.  

Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
