We seek a Salesforce Technical Business Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering customized, scalable Salesforce solutions that align with the unique needs of our public sector clients.


Role Summary:


The Salesforce Technical Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and Salesforce developers to deliver tailored Salesforce solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into functional specifications, providing technical insights, and ensuring the successful delivery of Salesforce implementations and enhancements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis:
    • Engage with stakeholders to understand their goals, challenges, and requirements.
    • Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements using industry-standard methodologies (e.g., interviews, workshops, surveys).
    • Facilitate requirement sign-off sessions with business and technical teams.
    • Translate complex business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements, process flows, and user stories.

  • Salesforce Configuration & Solution Design:
    • Provide expertise in Salesforce's core functionalities and features (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).
    • Conduct fit-gap analysis and propose Salesforce-native solutions or customizations.
    • Configure Salesforce objects, flows, page layouts, and permission sets, as needed.

  • Technical Collaboration:
    • Partner with Salesforce developers and architects to ensure technical feasibility and optimal solution design.
    • Conduct data mapping exercises and assist in data migration planning.
    • Collaborate with developers to design and test APIs and integrations with external systems.

  • Testing & Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for Salesforce solutions.
    • Validate functionality through user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure stakeholder approval.

  • Change Management:
    • Support change management activities, including user training and creating process documentation.
    • Provide post-implementation support and ongoing solution optimizations.

  • Public Sector Expertise:
    • Apply knowledge of public sector processes and regulations to tailor Salesforce solutions that meet compliance and operational requirements.
    • Stay current on Salesforce's public sector offerings and new releases to enhance client solutions.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
Salesforce Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration (e.g., objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, flows).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce core clouds (Sales, Service, Experience).
  • Experience with public sector solutions or Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) is highly desirable.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Advanced Administrator, Business Analyst, or Platform App Builder certifications are a plus.
Business Analysis Skills:
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to develop process flow diagrams, wireframes, and business cases.
  • Proficient in Agile or Scrum project methodologies.
Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and user management.
  • Experience working with Salesforce integrations (e.g., APIs, web services, middleware).
  • Familiarity with data migration tools (e.g., Salesforce Data Loader, MuleSoft) is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct SQL queries or use reporting tools for data analysis is a plus.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative and proactive problem-solver.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst.
  • Experience working with public sector clients or government entities.
  • Experience in consultancy or professional services environments is a plus.
